The Grey Coat Hospital Sixth Form is currently made up of over 240 students who are studying a wide range of subjects and qualifications, which include AS/A2, Applied A Levels, BTEC, and GNVQ. Our aim is to give all students the best opportunity to begin their postcompulsory education, in an environment that offers structure but at the same time allows them to take responsibility for their learning. The extra-curricular side is also enormously emphasised, as it gives students the opportunity to organise and run events and initiatives both in and outside of school. Annually, over eighty percent of our Year 13 students progress straight into Higher Education at many of the most reputable universities in the country.
Entry requirements For AS/A2 levels: 5 GCSEs grades A*-C. These must be closely related to the proposed A levels, often at grade B. For Applied A levels: 5 GCSEs grades A*-C, including English & Maths.
For BTEC National Certificate: 5 GCSEs grades A*-C. For BTEC First Diploma: 4 GCSEs grade E and above, including English & Maths.
