In our five College centres in Westminster we aim to provide a welcoming, caring and supportive environment for 16-19 year olds. We offer a wide range of AS/A2 subjects, and Vocational courses at entry, intermediate and advanced levels, with full tutorial support and well-resourced learning centres and workshops.
There is a strong focus on learning and achievement and we strive to ensure that learners from all backgrounds achieve their personal and career goals, tailoring language, learning and disability support to their needs. Our students progress onto University, other educational courses or employment.
City of Westminster College is a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) in New Media Technology. CoVE status reflects strong emplyer contacts, state-of-the-art facilities and excellent teaching.
Entry requirements For AS/A2 levels: 5 GCSEs grades A*-C, including English Language, obtained at one sitting. Grade B in Maths is required for Maths and Accounts, and in English Language for English; BB in Double Science for Science A levels. For Applied A levels: 4 GCSEs grades A*-C, to include Double Science and preferably Maths and English Language. For BTEC Firsts: 3 GCSEs at grade D or above (or equivalent). For BTEC Nationals: at least 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent). For BTEC Introductory levels, NVQ and other occupational awards at levels 1 & 2: Usually, no formal entry requirements. All candidates are interviewed and assessed and references followed up. For occupational awards at level 3: NVQ level 2 or equivalent, or 4 GCSEs A*-D. Apprenticeships: Employment in appropriate industry, plus entry requirements for the qualifications under offer.
